파리의 아름다운 마레 지구, 그곳에 숨어 지내던 한 유대인 가족이 있었습니다. 나치에 쫓기고 있었기 때문이지요. 1942년 12월 28일, 아버지와 아들은 결국 나치에 붙잡히고 말았습니다. 그들은 수용소에서 갇혀 힘든 시간을 보냈지요. 날마다 고통과 두려움 속에서 지냈지만, 그들이 할 수 있는 것은 하루를 견뎌내고, 또 하루를 살아내는 것뿐이었습니다. 유대인들은 날마다 어디론가 끌려다녔지만, 돌아오는 사람은 아무도 없었습니다. 그들은 수용소의 다른 사람들과 땅굴을 파서 탈출을 시도하려고 했지만, 결국 잡히고 말았지요. 1943년 11월 20일, 보비니 역에서 출발한 62호 수송 열차에 올라 어디로 가는지도 모른 채 떠나던 그들은 기차에서 탈출을 시도했습니다. 그리고 아버지와 헤어지게 되었지요. 하지만 여러 사람의 도움으로 그들은 다시 만나게 되었습니다. 다시는 만날 수 없을 줄 알았던 아버지와 아들은 다시 돌아왔지만, 그들의 일상은 예전과 같지 않습니다. 그들은 어떻게 지냈을까요? 그들의 하루하루는 어떤 모습이었을까요? 우리가 기억해야 할 ‘그날’을 함께 되짚어 봅니다.
